Designing for Trust On Social Media

This is a University of Washington Information School Capstone project for Winter/Spring 2021.

    Cause

    Social media has changed today’s information and communication world.

    As a result, there has also been a rise in mis/disinformation, which has eroded users’ trust in social media platforms.

    Analysis

    Through research, we look at how design considerations can influence what makes an information system “trustworthy.”

About Us

Our Team

Project Manager / DesignerAaron ZhaoAaron is going into his senior year as an Informatics student. He is actively involved in the iSchool community and will be serving as next year's IUGA president.
Researcher / DesignerHarkiran SalujaHarkiran is graduating with the Informatics HCI track and a Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies Minor. After graduation, she will be pursuing a Master of Human-Computer Interaction at CMU.
DeveloperVictoria HuynhVictoria is graduating with the Informatics HCI track and an Entrepreneurship Minor. After graduation, she will be working full-time as a software engineer at Atlassian.
DeveloperJill NguyenJill is graduating with the Informatics custom track. After graduation, she will be working full-time as a software engineer at Amazon.
